Nadia Al-Fawwaz Saudi Gazette ABHA — Civil Defense teams continued their search on Sunday for a missing body in Mahayel Asir. A car had gotten submerged as it tried to cross the flooded Marra Valley. The body of one passenger has been recovered, but the other is still unaccounted for. Saeed and Adwan Al-Ahmari, brothers, had drowned after their vehicle was dragged 200 meters away from the crossing point by strong tides. Lt. Col. Maeed Al-Shehri, deputy spokesman for Asir Civil Defense, said his department is coordinating with the Ministry of Water and Electricity to reduce the water held by the Marra Valley dam. Searches have been completed in a large area around the dam, Al-Shehri said. He said the Civil Defense would add more divers to the search team. Meanwhile, rescuers managed to save a puppy in wake of the recent floods that have struck the region, the spokesman added.
