Qatar Airways, one of the world's fastest growing airlines celebrated the holy month of Ramadan with an invitation for local journalists to an exquisite Ghabqa. Co-hosted by the Movenpick Al Khobar on July 17, the occasion brought media partners together to enjoy the Ramadan tradition of hospitality, with the five star airline showing its continued gratitude to the media for their support over the past year. In addition to being one of the region's premier carriers and key player in the international air travel market, Qatar Airways is proud of its commitment to the local community, its culture and traditions. Country Manager Saudi Arabia Ishfaq Ahmed Jalal shares his thoughts on the airline's connection with Ramadan and the traditions it upholds. “Qatar Airways is pleased to share in the spirit onboard with our passengers and also with members of our community in Al Dammam, and also the other destinations that we serve in Saudi Arabia,” he said. The Iftar was a wonderful opportunity for media partners to network, meet old friends from the world of journalism and enjoy the cuisine in the Movenpick Al- Khobar's spectacular Ramadan tent – unique in the entire Eastern Province The Resort prepared an elegant tent especially for Ramadan celebrations adjoining the Clubhouse restaurant, where it served an elaborate Iftar buffet included live cooking stations. More than 25 journalists and media representatives attended the event. Qatar Airways has seen rapid growth in just 16 years of operations, currently flying a modern fleet of 127 aircraft to 128 key business and leisure destinations across Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and The Americas.
