AL-BAHA – A Saudi in his 40s died after a speeding car ran him over near a supermarket here, according to Al-Baha Red Crescent spokesman Emad Al-Zahrani. The man died instantly while the driver of the car, an 18-year-old man, was arrested and handed over to the police. The man's family, who witnessed the incident, was spending their vacation in Al-Baha. Elsewhere, in Saihat city, a pregnant woman who was begging near a stoplight was run over by a car and rushed to hospital. Her condition is still critical, said the Eastern Province Red Crescent spokesman Fahd Al-Ghamdi while urging the general public to be extra careful when crossing roads.
