JEDDAH – Pakistani expatriates welcome the decision of their consulate to deliver machine readable passports to them at their doorsteps through courier. Pakistan Consul General Aftab Ahmed Khokhar announced here recently that the service will be available at a nominal fee. He said the service would help ease rush at the mission and also allow consulate officials to focus on other community related work. "This will save me a lot of time and hassle," said an executive secretary, who is most of the time tied up with office work at the desk. Khokhar once again urged Pakistani expats to benefit from the extended grace period and get their labor and residency status corrected. He said that the Pakistani consulate has organized a number of job fairs to help its nationals find jobs. — SG
