Faiz Al-Najdi RIYADH — Muhammad Asghar Qureshi was unanimously elected as the new President of Pakistan Investors Forum-Riyadh (PIF) on Thursday. Qureshi, a noted Pakistani businessman in Riyadh and well known in the Pakistani community, is an executive member of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) and is also chief coordinator of Pakistan People's Party-Saudi Arabia. The Chairman of Qureshi Group of Companies based in Riyadh is a philanthropist and a social worker also. Pakistan Investors Forum-Riyadh is an association of Pakistani businessmen and investors operating in Saudi Arabia under the patronage of SAGIA (Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority) and the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce & Industries. It has a total of about 50 registered members. The outgoing President of PIF is Tariq Soomro. The new hierarchy in PIF is as follows: Patron-in-Chief of PIF: Pakistan Ambassador Muhammad Naeem Khan; Chairman of PIF: Choudhry Khalid Mahmood; President of PIF: Muhammad Asghar Qureshi; General Secretary of PIF: Khalid Raja; Finance Secretary of PIF: Choudhry Bashir Ahmed.
