JAZAN – A four-year-old child shot himself in the stomach while playing with his father's gun. The father, who lives in a remote village in Al-Harth governorate, Jazan, rushed to the room upon hearing the gunshot to see his son in a pool of blood. He rushed him to Al-Harth General Hospital, which referred him to Samtah Hospital where he underwent an emergency surgery. A source in the hospital said the operation went successfully and the doctors removed the bullet from his body. The child is currently under medical observation. Jazan police spokesman Col. Awad Al-Qahtani said no foul play was suspected.
