Published in The Saudi Gazette on 19 - 07 - 2013

Landmark Group, the region's leading retail and hospitality conglomerate, has opened its largest Centrepoint and Home Centre stores in Kuwait, online news agency AME Info said on Thursday.
Located at the popular The Avenues, the new Centrepoint store offers summer collection for women, men and children while the new Home Centre store offers a variety of choices for home furnishing needs, AME Info said.
The Landmark group celebrated the opening of its new stores in Kuwait on Wednesday with Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikha Sharifa Al-Jassim and his wife Wedad Al Abbdulrazzaq cutting the ribbon.
Speaking at the launch of the new stores, Saibal Basu, Chief Operating Officer, Landmark Group Kuwait, said: "Expansion has always played an important role in Landmark Group's growth strategy. Over the years we have grown considerably and this expansion encompasses our commitment to our customers in Kuwait and the region.
"Our new flagship stores are a one-stop shopping destination for the entire family where four great brands meet. We combine quality and style to appeal to a broad customer base. Customers who come to Centrepoint and Home Centre will find something that fits their personal style and their budget."
With the opening of the new stores, he said Landmark Group has now 14 stores at The Avenues representing various brands that include Splash, Max, Newlook, Steve Madden, Dumond, Pablosky, Carpisa, Reiss, Kurt Geiger, Carluccio's and the newly opened Centrepoint Home Centre and Shoexpress. "Centrepoint and Home Centre are among the fastest growing brands in our growing portfolio of the retail brands we are able to offer our customers. We look forward to delivering unparalleled overall shopping experience at convenient locations," Basu said.
"Our new flagship Centrepoint and Home Centre stores provide a platform for our continued development and excellence in the market. We will continue with such extensive expansions in the coming years and try to serve our customers in every possible manner."
AME Info said the new collection at Home Centre "showcases a mix of modern and transitional furniture and home decor accessories in vivid and colourful styles, offering something for every taste. The collection comprises timeless products that hold utility value and aesthetic appeal.
Home Centre's combination of unique designs and refreshing colours reflects popular global trends in home décor."
A leader in the Middle East retail industry, the Landmark Group has established itself as a forerunner in providing high value for money to customers, it said, adding that Landmark has social media presence on Facebook, twirtters and Instagram. — SG
