ABU DHABI — Abu Dhabi has been named as the biggest market in the world for luxury car manufacturer Rolls-Royce, Gulf Business.com said on Thursday. Gulf Business said it emphasized the popularity of Rolls Royce in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The UAE capital recorded the highest number of sales across Rolls-Royce's markets in the first half of this year, edging out world famous cities like New York, London, Beijing and Moscow, Gulf Business said. “Abu Dhabi Motors, the sole dealer of Rolls-Royce cars in the emirate, reported the good news off the back of a record 2012 when it was named the luxury manufacturer's global dealer of the year,” it said. Abu Dhabi was also named the world's biggest market for bespoke Rolls-Royce vehicles, it added. “Our investments in customer services, facilities and people have long been paying off,” it quoted Arno Husselmann, general manager of Abu Dhabi Motors, as saying. “We are continuously evaluating all our processes and systems toward delivering a Rolls-Royce standard of service and ensuring the exclusivity of the product is being maintained with unique and bespoke vehicles. “Most importantly, we listen to customer requests and have developed our understanding of their preferences to a fine standard.” Gulf Business aid Rolls Royce success in the region is expected to continue this year with the launch of its latest model, the Rolls-Royce Wraith, its most powerful car to date. Torsten Müller-Ötvös, CEO of Roll-Royce Motor Cars, told Gul Business that he was pleased with the company's growth in the Middle East, and is looking to expand across the Gulf. — SG
