Melasma is a tan or dark skin discoloration. Although it can affect anyone, Melasma is particularly common in women and tends to affect people of Asians origin and features out with clear edges. It is thought to be enhanced by surges in certain hormones. There is another type of costs seen in the context of other glandular disorders, which is classified into superficial (urticarial) and deep (dermal) by melanin placed in the skin, but the majority of cases found where it is mixed (urticarial + dermal).
