SAN DIEGO — Landon Donovan scored two goals to lead the United States past Guatemala 6-0 in a friendly Friday, his first match with the national team in nearly a year. Donovan scored his 50th international goal, extending his American record, on a penalty kick in the 55th minute to put the Americans up 2-0. His 51st came in the 74th minute. Donovan took a sabbatical of nearly four months after last year's Major League Soccer season and wasn't included on the US roster for June's World Cup qualifiers. US Coach Jurgen Klinsmann added him back to the squad for the Gold Cup, the championship for North and Central America and the Caribbean, which begins Sunday. — AP
