Nadia Al-Fawwaz Saudi Gazette ABHA — The Civil Defense has rescued seven members of the same family whose double-cab truck plunged to the ground from a steep mountain pass in Asir, Lt. Col. Maiedth Bin Mohammed Al-Shihri, acting spokesman for the Civil Defense, said on Thursday. He said the vehicle was crossing a mountainous pass in Bashtout district in Belgrin region when it deviated from the road and plunged to the ground from a high altitude. The spokesman said there were no deaths. He said the car overturned several times in a radius of 100 meters before it came to a standstill. All seven passengers were pulled out of the vehicle by Civil Defense rescue workers and rushed to a nearby hospital where they were treated for various injuries. Meanwhile, three family members were killed and four others seriously injured when their car overturned on the Tathleeth-Riyadh road Wednesday evening.
