ASIR: A father and his young daughter died Sunday when their car plunged 1,200 meters off the side of a mountain in Asir. An eight-year-old boy survived. A Civil Defense spokesman said the family was out driving on the steep winding roads in the area of Mt. Souda, the Kingdom's highest mountain, when the car left the road. Rescue workers and volunteering members of the public at the site struggled for three hours to free the body of the four-year-old girl and her father and brother, who were rushed to hospital. The father succumbed to his injuries shortly after. “The boy is in a stable condition,” the spokesman said.
