Jawar Al-Jazirah, Kanoo and Tamer score wins in ACE Travel

JEDDAH — Jawar Al-Jazirah, Kanoo, Tamer and Kanoo Travel recorded sweat wins in Ace Travel Premier Division matches sponsored by Ace Travel and Tours and organized by JCA here recently.
Jawar Al-Jazirah beat ACE Travel and Tours by 71 runs. Batting first, Jawar Al-Jazirah amassed 276-4. Shan and Asim put on 108 for the first wicket off 7 overs. Shaun hammered 68 (11x4 and 2x6), while Asim scored a brilliant 129 (10x6, 9x4).
Adil (19) and Asim added 99 for the second wicket. Adnan chipped in with a quick-fire 29 (2x6). Naveed claimed 2-63, while Saadat and Muhammad claimed a wicket each.
In reply, ACE Travels could manage only 205. Wajid Samdani and Ayaz scored 78 in 6 overs, while Wajid added 46, Ayaz 66 (6x4, 1x6) and Hamid 30 (2x4, 2x6). Zahid claimed 3-32 and Zulfiqar 2-24.
Kanoo beat Deccan Knights by 9 wickets. Deccan Knights were bowled out for a low score of 142 runs. Kanoo reached the target for the loss of one wicket. For Deccan Knights, Athar added 28 (5x4), Zia 26 and Ahmad 36 (3x4). Moid and Najam claimed 3 wickets each for 17 and 35, respectively, while Mansoor bagged 2-29.
In reply, Kanoo scored the required runs with 9 wickets and 2 overs in hand. Tabraiz hit a run a ball 21, Waseem was retired hurt for 26, Sami hit 58 (5x4, 2x6) and Najam 38 (4x4, 2x6) to hand Kanoo a big 9-wicket win.
Kanoo Travel defeated Micro Engineering by 50 runs. Taking the strike first, Kanoo Travel thumped 237-4. Despite losing the openers for 14 runs, Mazhar and Adnan played with confidence and assurance. Mazhar hit 118 off 66 deliveries (17x4, 2x6), while Adnan scored 69 off 41 balls (6x4, 4x6). The two put on 177 for the third wicket. Mujahid, Ilyas, Asif and Rafi bagged a wicket each.
In reply, Micro Engineering was bundled out for 187 with Ilyas making 51, while Mujahid contributed 42 and Khaja chipped in with 27. Abdul Jalil and Ibrahim Akbar claimed 2 wickets each.
Tamar Beat Zinda Talismat by 5 wickets. Zinda Talismat put on 171-7. Javed scored 45, Irfan 25 (2x6, 1x4) and Noor 38 (3x4). Rafiq and Khalid picked up 2 wickets each for 33 and 21, respectively.
In reply, Tamar reached the target of 172 for the loss of 5 wickets. Shahbaz hit 44 (4x4), Afroz 42 (4x4, 3x6) and Ashfaq 28 (2x4). Noor claimed 3-34 and Urooj 1-27. — SG
