MANILA — Veteran film producer Lily Monteverde, popularly referred to as “Mother Lily,” blamed GMA-7 actress Marian Rivera for Regal Films' non-participation at this year's Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), but the two quickly made up on Thursday. On Wednesday, Monteverde expressed hurt over her film production house's failure to submit an entry to the MMFF, due to take place in December. Rivera had allegedly demanded a solo movie and refused a Regal project that would have seen her co-starring with ABS-CBN star Judy Ann Santos. Alfie Lorenzo, Santos' manager, told ABS-CBN News however that it was actually Santos who passed up because she did not receive the script she requested on time. — SG
