After its successful projects in India, Bahrain, Oman, UAE and Al Jubail in Saudi Arabia, the KIMS group launched KIMS Medical Centre Riyadh (KMCR) on Jarir Street in Riyadh's Al-Malaz district on June 3 as its latest GCC project. The function was attended by Dr. Mahfouz Mohammed Batarfi, general manager of KMCR, other officials and community members. A part of KIMS Hospital Group, which boasts of tertiary-care and cancer hospitals, KIMS Medical Centre Riyadh aims to provide world-class treatment and services to the people of Riyadh at an affordable cost. KMCR, a polyclinic at present, will start in the fields of pediatrics, gynecology, internal medicine, family medicine, specialty dentistry, prthopedics, ENT and emergency medicine. Its team of doctors consists of specialists and consultants from Saudi Arabia, India, Egypt, Syria and the Philippines, all of whom have vast experience in providing medical care in reputed hospitals. The paramedical services available initially are laboratory, radiology and physiotherapy. In a few months' time, specialist clinics like well-baby clinic, well-women clinic, obesity and diabetic clinics are expected to open. KMCR takes pride in providing modern healthcare through the state-of- the art equipment, and quality healthcare delivery. A pharmacy is also being commissioned in the same complex. Tie-ups with major insurance companies are in the process to enable cashless transactions for insurance-card holders. KIMS have been accredited by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards International (ACHSI), both in India and Bahrain, and has tied up with Quality Healthcare Australia (QHA) to assure international quality standards for all its GCC ventures. The management team of KMCR consists of Dr. M.I. Sahadulla, chairman who was also a senior consultant in ARAMCO, and Dr. Mahfouz Batarfi, general manager, who has been head of the department at King Saud University. Shortly, KIMS group will expand its presence in the Kingdom by opening more hospitals in Jubail and Riyadh. – SG
