“A New Perspective on Healthcare” is the title of a four-day conference starting in Jeddah Monday under the patronage of Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Emir of Makkah Region. The conference, organized by the International Medical Center and the Banajeh Holding Group, will hear experts and specialists from 140 Saudi, Arab and international companies, and host a Saudi healthcare exhibition on medicine, insurance, dentistry, pharmacology and scientific machinery and equipment. A second exhibition will give Saudi hospitals the opportunity to provide information on their structure, supplies and equipment facilities, and another exhibition is scheduled to address health, physical fitness and healthcare services. The conference and sideline exhibitions will look at the latest medical and clinical developments with detailed overviews of cardiac metabolism syndrome, which experts describe as one of the major clinical problems of the day due to its economic effects on public and private hospitals and health insurance companies. The event will also focus on other conditions like diabetes, obesity, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and hear lectures on health management and health education strategies. A major field of interest at the conference will be dental health and its role in the building, growth and development process. The conference will take a close look at different sectors' roles in improving the level of society's health awareness through social responsibility, mutual interaction between society and official institutions through the provision of services.
