JUBAIL — The Jubail Royal Commission through the management of health services medical team recently treated and saved an ailing Filipino citizen suffering from ventricular fibrillation — a lethal arrhythmia — characterized with abnormal heartbeat. A specialist from the RC hospital said that the 41-year-old patient who was admitted first at the RCH emergency room was later found out to have “Brugada Syndrome.” This is "a genetic disease that is characterized by abnormal electrocardiogram (ECG) findings and usually attacks middle-aged men with an increased risk of sudden cardiac death," he said. "These complications typically occur when an affected person is resting or asleep," he said. The Royal Commission has dealt with and delivered the best care and services in uncommon situations through continuing education of preventive medicine, enhanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures successfully carried out by medical team under the Royal Commission Health Program.
