Lulu Hypermarkets, Saudi Arabia is hosting a 10-day Philippine Food Festival which started yesterday (Wednesday) in cooperation with the Philippine Embassy in the Kingdom. Ezzedin H. Tago, Ambassador of the Philippines to Saudi Arabia, has officially inaugurated the festival at 2:00 p.m. in LuLu Murabba, Riyadh and on the same day at 5:00 p.m. in LuLu Alkhobar by Samual Madrid, Welfare Officer, Philippine Embassy. The festival is showcasing a huge range of Filipino products and foodstuffs imported from the Philippines and also a large variety of breads and confectionary items locally made in the bakeries of LuLu Hypermarkets. Product ranges like the Philippine bananas and pineapples, Milkfish, dried fish and pancit bihon and many more are available in the Hypermarkets. LuLu has been a major importer of Filipino products and made arrangements to add more products in its outlets. Moreover, the festival is showcasing the best consumer products & food products, including groceries, fresh and frozen foods as well as offering freshly prepared traditional Filipino dishes. Practically all Filipino products will be available on attractive prices. Besides, authentic Philippine flavors will be prepared by LuLu chef, who will be providing a wide variety of different authentic Filipino dishes such as kare kare, adobo, pinakbet, bulalo, sinigang, caldreta and sweets like pitchy pitchy, puto pao, buko pie, cassava cakes, sapin-sapin, ginatang mais presented in a traditional way. The festive event supports the ongoing culinary activities at the LuLu Hypermarkets, Saudi Arabia. There will be cooking competition on June 20 at 12:00 noon in LuLu Murabba, Riyadh.
