With regard to the report “Schools struggling to cope with the hot sun” (June 6), it is clear that there is a need for the Ministry of Education to inspect private schools to ensure that the air conditioning in the classrooms is functioning as it should. Due to poor maintenance many air conditioners in international schools have failed and in this hot weather it is a cause of concern as its jeopardizes our children's health. Unfortunately, it seems that those in charge of some of these schools do not want to spend money on maintenance. Barish, Online response
