Saudi Gazette report QATIF — Eastern Province Police have arrested a gang of six Saudis in connection with a murder that happened 18 months ago as well as 42 robberies in Qatif, Al-Sharq newspaper reported. Eastern Province police spokesman Lt. Col. Ziyad Al-Reqiti said the suspects, in their 20s and 30s, committed a number of armed robberies in houses and farms. They are also suspected of committing the murder of a citizen in Qatif, where the victim was found shot in the head. Eastern Province Police chief Maj. Gen. Ghurmallah Al-Zahrani formed a team headed by Qatif Police chief Brig. Ali Al-Qahtani to investigate the robberies and murder. Evidence was gathered and led officers to the suspects, who were arrested and are now being questioned.
