JEDDAH — Special Makkah Police teams have detained four young men suspected of promoting hashish in Jeddah. A police patrol grew suspicious of a young man who was continuously looking around him before hiding some items inside his clothes. The police followed the young man to a furnished apartment building in Quraish Street and set up a perimeter around the building. Another two young men entered the building and police set up a fake inspection point near the building. A different man exited the building and tried to avoid the inspection point through the side streets. Police followed and stopped him, searched his car and found hashish inside. He admitted that he obtained the hashish from three people living in one of the furnished apartments. Police stormed the apartment and arrested three people and confiscated six packs of hashish weighing more than six kilograms.
