A Jeddah-based professionals institute was honored at the world's largest gathering for training and development at the ASTD 2013 Conference in Dallas, Texas. The award was in recognition of professional's role in the successful organization of ASTD-MENA Conference and Exhibition held in Jeddah January this year. Training and human capital development is of utmost importance to the development of the Saudi economy. Saudi Arabia has allocated $ 54.4 billion to education and training, a 21 percent higher than the 2012 allocation, and the highest increase since 2007.
