Waleed Mohammed Al-Shaikh was chosen a member of the Tourist Information Committee at the Saudi Arabian Council of Chambers of Commerce and Industry. The appointment came as appreciation of Waleed's skills and experience he has through the 20 years he spend in different industries and concluded with NAS in addition to the added value added by NAS to the tourism industry. In reaction to the selection, Al-Shaikh stated “I feel proud and honored as Saudi to be chosen by a professional committee to serve the nation In this very important aspect – tourism – that has a bright future with us all supporting its objectives”. Waleed Joined NAS November 2008 as Marketing & Communications Director for the group and supervising all 4 sub-brands: nasair the 1st Saudi budget airline, NasJet the leading ME private aviation company, NASTech the engineering & maintenance arm of the group and NAS Charter Aviation the specialized Haj & Umrah air transportation company. Waleed worked with Saudi Aramco International Marketing & Sales Division in 1991 and two years later, he went through another rich experience with banking industry when he worked for four years as the communication coach to Albaraka Investment Group whereby more than 35 bank and financial institution are gathered. He worked for Shandwick International Communication Group Affiliate in Saudi Arabia. In the year 2000, Waleed joined the newly privatized Saudi Telecom (STC). Before leaving STC he was appointed director of marketing communication responsible for the biggest advertising budget in the Middle East considered a huge media investment in addition to launching STC new brand. — SG
