Sultan Al-Sughair Saudi Gazette JUBAIL — Prince Saud Bin Abdullah Bin Thunayan Al Saud, Chairman of Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, received Rilly P. Bechtel, President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director of Bechtel Group, Inc. (BGI) her. Bechtel is currently on a visit to the Kingdom. The RC Chairman welcomed the guest and they exchanged friendly talk and discussed issues, which were of mutual interests to both sides. Bechtel then highlighted the activity of his international firm in the Kingdom and its work fields and its aspirations. On the other hand, Prince Saud focused on the necessity to activate the beneficial firm's experiences in the field of training Saudis, intensifying the significance of firm's adoption of talented and qualified Saudis so as to take advantage of their work performance. In addition, the RC Chairman discussed with Bechtel the technical aspects pertaining to construction operations implemented currently in Jubail (2) zone as well as the phases of infrastructures development. The relationship between Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu and Bechtel has been on for 30 years whereas the firm actually started supervision of building Jubail Industrial City in 1403H (1983). The city is registered in Guinness World Records as the biggest Construction Engineering Project that has been implemented in history. In addition, Bechtel has a significant role to play in developing manpower whereas agreement terms that they concluded with the Kingdom include Bechtel's role in developing manpower in Jubail Industrial City as well as to provide the required skills and experience. Bechtel undertakes development operation and provides qualified manpower in order to contribute in the upgradation of Saudi engineers and qualify them to administrate the enormous projects existing in Jubail Industrial City. Consequently, the Royal Commission will be able to benefit from national qualified manpower in construction operations that are currently taking place in Jubail (2).
