Authorities in Sudan have repatriated a Sudanese national accused of murdering an old Saudi three years ago. The repatriation was made possible because the Kingdom and Sudan enjoy a mutual security cooperation agreement. The repatriated Sudanese allegedly killed the old man after robbing him of his money and then fled the scene of the crime. According to reports, Muhammad Bin Hamid Al-Muttairi, 80, was on a trip to collect money from his relatives and friends in the western part of Afeef Governorate. The Sudanese expatriate was driving his car, and Al-Muttairi went missing during the trip. At that time, Afeef mobilized all its security agencies to search for the old man. After three days, his body was found in the desert west of Afeef. Subsequently, his car was also found in one of the villages. The prime suspect in the killing of the old man was the Sudanese, as he was the one driving the old man's car during his trip. It turned out that he left the Kingdom for his country immediately after committing the crime. Authorities in both countries actively cooperated and the man was finally arrested. He admitted that he committed the crime and was handed over to the Saudi authorities last week. The old man's family and relatives expressed their deep thanks and appreciation to Saudi rulers and the Sudanese government for their efforts to apprehend the killer so that he can be punished according to the Shariah. The victim's nephew, Marzooq Bin Turki Al-Muttairi, expressed happiness on the repatriation of the killer. – Okaz __
