RIYADH — The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority at the port of Al-Batha Border Crossing with the United Arab Emirates have foiled an attempt to smuggle in 1,364,706 Captagon pills, which were found hidden in a shipment reached the Kingdom through the port. The authority said that the huge cache of drugs was seized after thwarting the attempts to smuggle in, hidden inside shipment of air conditioners. The authority emphasized that it is continuing to tighten customs control over the Kingdom's imports and exports to prevent smuggling attempts in its bid to ensure the security and protection of society. It called on everyone to contribute to combating smuggling to protect society and the national economy by contacting it on the number designated for security reports (1910)) and the international number (009661910) or via email ([email protected]. The authority noted that all reports related to smuggling crimes and violations of the provisions of the Unified Customs Law through these channels will be dealt with complete confidentiality and a financial reward will be granted to the whistleblower if the information in the given report is correct.
