JEDDAH — Residents of Ahmad Zaki Street in Jeddah's Al-Rawdah district claim seeping sewage water has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes and a source of unpleasant smell in the neighborhood. They claim that they have repeatedly notified the municipality and the National Water Company (NWC) of the seepage, but no action was taken. The municipality once sent a tanker that extracted the water, only to dump it in another street. The local authority also said that the sewage water is not their responsibility but that of NWC. Residents claimed that the NWC did not cooperate with them and only logged their calls.
