RIYADH — The National Center of Meteorology (NMC) expects that most regions of Saudi Arabia will be affected by moderate to heavy rain, starting from Sunday and continuing until Wednesday. The rain conditions will be accompanied by descending winds that raise dust and dirt, reaching speeds of 60 km/h, with the possibility of torrents, hail, and high waves on the coastal regions. According to the NMC report, the rainy conditions will be experienced in the Tabuk and Madinah regions on Sunday and Monday, Al-Jouf and the Northern Borders from Sunday evening to Tuesday, and the Hail and Al-Qassim regions on Monday and Tuesday. The rainy weather will extend to the Riyadh region from Monday to Wednesday, and will cover the Eastern Province on Tuesday and Wednesday, and the Makkah region on Monday and Tuesday. According to the NCM, it will be cold to very cold in parts of Tabuk, Al-Jouf, Northern Borders, Hail, and Qassim regions, as well as in the northern parts of Riyadh and Eastern regions. Thunderstorms are forecast in parts of Jazan, Asser, Al-Baha, and Makkah. Dust-stirring winds will blow in parts of these regions, as well as in the Madinah region. The center called on the public to follow its daily reports through its website, the "Anwaa" application, which provides comprehensive weather updates and forecasts and interactive weather maps, and its accounts on social media platforms. It urged people to adhere to the instructions of the relevant authorities to preserve everyone's safety.
