RIYADH— Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates said that Saudi Arabia's great global roles, such as its commitment to supporting the health sector and funding global initiatives such as the Polio Fund, reinforce its position as a symbol of humanity and reflect its vision and pioneering role on the international stage. Addressing the Misk Global Forum in Riyadh on Wednesday, he also announced the establishment of a strategic partnership between Misk Foundation and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which supports enhancing youth participation in the non-profit sector within Saudi Arabia and the region, as well as contributing to achieving Saudi's Vision 2030. The partnership aims to encourage young people to provide innovative solutions to education and global citizenship issues by opening new horizons for creativity and motivating the world's brightest minds to address the most pressing development challenges. Gates also praised Saudi Arabia's pioneering role in supporting and empowering youth, especially initiatives such as "Misk Global Forum 2024", saying that this can be considered as a model to be emulated globally. It is noteworthy that Misk Global Forum is one of the largest youth forums in the world. The forum aims to develop youth skills and enhance their spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship.
