Malaysian Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development Datuk Ewon Benedick, accompanied by Malaysian Ambassador to the Kingdom Datuk Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah, visited one of the branches of KUDU, a leading Quick Service Restaurant brand in Saudi Arabia. During the visit, the minister was briefed on KUDU's journey, which spans over 36 years in the industry, and its distinction in offering meals that combine high quality with delicious taste. During the visit, KUDU's ambitious projects were presented, focusing on expanding its business and entering the Malaysian market with its 100 percent Saudi brand, known for its fresh to order meals, operational excellence and customer-first approach. This expansion will be achieved through franchising partnerships with distinguished companies in this field in Malaysia, with the minister and the accompanying delegation playing a significant role in facilitating these efforts in the coming period. This collaboration falls within the framework of strengthening the joint investment environment between the two countries. The company is currently working on establishing strategic master franchising partnerships with well-established food and beverage operators, supported by this esteemed delegation, to facilitate entry into the Malaysian market. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of KUDU Rakan Al-Rashid welcomed the minister and his accompanying delegation to the restaurant. He explained that this visit comes within the framework of KUDU's keenness to be present in Malaysia, which is one of the well-known investment and tourist destinations in Southeast Asia. He affirmed that this initiative aims to enhance cooperation in both directions and empower Malaysian food and beverage companies to benefit from KUDU's vision and expertise to enter the Saudi market, thereby boosting trade and investment opportunities between the two countries. Al-Rashid pointed out that one of the main factors that encouraged the company to enter the Malaysian market is the significant number of Malaysian visitors to our branches in Makkah, Madinah, and Jeddah, especially during Umrah and Hajj. "These visitors have expressed their desire for us to open franchised branches in Malaysia that serve the delicious dishes they enjoyed during their visits to the restaurant. Malaysia will be our opening door to Asian markets," he added.
