SEOUL — Saudi Minister of the National Guard Prince Abdullah bin Bandar attended a military parade of the Korean Ministry of National Defense in Seoul on Wednesday. The event was held during his official visit to Korea aimed to expand the bilateral defense partnership. Prince Abdullah toured pavilions of an exhibition, held on the sidelines of the parade. During the tour, the minister was briefed on the machinery participating in the parade, as well as the opportunities for joint development. Prince Abdullah arrived in Seoul on Wednesday on an official visit in response to an invitation from Korean Minister of National Defense Kim Yong-woo. Upon his arrival, a formal reception ceremony was held at the Ministry of National Defense. The two ministers discussed ways to further enhance cooperation in various fields, including joint training, exchange of expertise, armaments, and plans for localization and joint development to address future and emerging threats. During the official trip to Korea, the Saudi minister is accompanied by Maj. Gen. Saleh Al-Harbi and several senior officials.
