JEDDAH — After much anticipation from Al-Ittihad fans and Saudi football supporters, Belgian club Beerschot officially announced the signing of Saudi internationals Faisal Al-Ghamdi and Marwan Al-Sahafi from Al-Ittihad. The players were seen in the club's white and purple jerseys in widely circulated photos on social media in Saudi Arabia and Belgium. Al-Ittihad had previously announced their agreement to loan Al-Ghamdi and Al-Sahafi to Beerschot for one season. The club noted that this move is part of their plans to develop young talents and support them in a way that positively impacts their performance, aligning with the future goals of the club and Saudi sports. This follows a recent announcement by Italian club AS Roma, which signed Saudi national team and Al Hilal player Saud Abdulhamid, marking a historic moment as he became the first Saudi player to join the prestigious Italian league.
