RIYADH — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Saudi Arabia's praise for the measures taken by the competent authorities in Oman and the speed and efficiency of dealing with the shooting incident in Wadi Al Kabir area in Muscat Governorate. The incident led to the martyrdom of a policeman, the death of several people, and injuries to others. Saudi Arabia affirmed its solidarity with Oman, expressing sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and wishing a speedy recovery for the injured. Oman Police announced the conclusion of procedures for dealing with the shooting incident that occurred on Monday in Muscat in Wadi Al Kabir. The incident resulted in the killing of five people and a policeman, as well as the three perpetrators, according to the Oman News Agency (ONA). Oman Police added: "Twenty-eight people of different nationalities were injured, including four while performing their national duty, among them policemen and members of the Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority. They were transferred to health institutions to receive treatment. Research and investigations into the circumstances of the incident continue."
