RIYADH — Saudi Consuls General-Designate Abdullah Al-Hamdan and Marzouq Al-Nafei took the oath of office before Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Riyadh on Thursday. Al-Hamdan was appointed as the consul general at the Saudi consulate general in New York in the United States of America, while Al-Nafei was named as the consul general at the Saudi consulate general in Suez in Egypt. Both the consuls general-designate said in their oath: "I swear by Almighty Allah, to be faithful to my religion, and then to my King and homeland, not to divulge any secrets of the State, and to protect its interests and regulations, and to perform my duties with utmost honesty, integrity and sincerity." The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Eng. Waleed Al-Khereiji, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Executive Affairs Abdul Hadi Al-Mansouri, and Undersecretary at the Ministry for Protocol Affairs Abdul Majeed Al-Sammari.
