DALIAN — Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Al-Ibrahim met with the Mayor of the Chinese city of Dalian, Chen Shawang, on the sidelines of the annual meeting of the New Champions of the World Economic Forum, which was held in the Chinese city from 25 27 June. Al-Ibrahim also met with Professor Klaus Schwab, founder and CEO of the World Economic Forum, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries and topics of common interest. He also met with Minister of Economic Affairs of Malaysia Rafizi Ramli to discuss economic collaboration in various sectors between their countries, including bilateral agreements. During the meeting, they discussed enhancing cooperation between the two countries in diverse areas and the latest global economic developments. Al-Ibrahim said on the X platform: Delighted to be in Dalian, China, for the Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2024 of the World Economic Forum. Al-Ibrahim said: "Saudi Arabia has a lot to offer for players from around the world to set up shop and accelerate the advancement of Artificial Intelligence" The minister explained the importance of international cooperation in developing artificial intelligence. He said: "Saudi Arabia has high potential and an ideal environment to attract AI experts from all over the world, which contributes to accelerating the pace of progress in this field."
