TAIF — Investigations are underway into the alleged baby swap at King Faisal Hospital in Taif. This was announced by Dr. Talal Al-Maliki, CEO of the Taif Health Cluster. Speaking to Okaz/Saudi Gazette, Dr. Al-Maliki said that the investigation into the issue of swapping newborns at King Faisal Hospital in Taif is ongoing at all levels. The probe started after registering of a complaint about a newborn swapping incident two weeks ago. "The families of the two newborn babies were summoned to take DNA samples to confirm the identity of the original parents of the babies before handing over the babies to them," he said. The health authorities in Taif stated that stringent punitive measures will be taken against those whose negligence resulted in the accidental swap of the babies.
