United Electronics Company (eXtra), Saudi Arabia's fastest-growing consumer electronics and home appliance retailer, announced on Saturday the opening of its first store in Qunfuda City and the 30th in the Kingdom. Occupying 1,200 square meters, the store is located on King Fahd Road within close proximity to the border guard department. Serving a population of approximately 250,000, the new store will offer customers more than 12,000 world-leading consumer electronics and home appliance products.
Mohammad Galal, Chief Executive Officer of the United Electronics Company (eXtra), said: “This year has begun much, as 2012 ended, by opening new stores and extending the eXtra brand promise to hundreds of thousands of new customers. With this new addition, we now have 30 stores and presence in 21 cities within the kingdom and two stores regionally. Alongside our ambitious regional expansion plans, we remain steadfast in our commitment to our home base and we will imminently launch two more stores in the Kingdom in the near future.” eXtra was recently named as one of “The Top 200 Companies in the GCC” by Forbes Middle East, and also ranked as one of the Top 5 services companies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In both 2010 and 2011, eXtra was cited by the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) as one of the Kingdom's fastest-growing companies.
