The Government Expenditure & Projects Efficiency Authority (EXPRO) has launched the third edition of its awareness campaign, "Evolution of Tradition," to highlight the importance of the National Manual for Assets and Facilities Management. This manual serves as a unified reference for government entities, ensuring the quality and efficiency in managing public assets and facilities, thereby preserving resources and supporting sustainability. Prepared by EXPRO in partnership with experienced national cadres from various government entities, the manual is based on the best local and international practices. It aims to standardize procedures for managing public assets and facilities, ensuring compliance with local legislation, and building robust asset management systems. This includes registering and evaluating assets to support optimal decision-making, extending asset life cycles, managing public facilities cost-effectively, and promoting continuous improvement. The manual emphasizes financial planning, effective supply chain and contract management, contributing to government excellence and financial sustainability in line with Vision 2030. EXPRO teams within government entities organize activities to raise awareness of the manual's importance and content, targeting several government sectors, including education, health, buildings, infrastructure, security, and military sectors. The manual covers various specializations, including emergency management, energy and sustainability management, maintenance management, environmental health and safety, risk management, contract and financial planning management, quality, and asset management and condition assessment. The campaign showcases success stories of government entities that have implemented the National Manual for Assets and Facilities Management. EXPRO has made the manual available on its website, organized and classified according to the needs of different entities. The awareness campaign includes a series of visual materials that explain the importance of adhering to the manual's guidelines to organize and facilitate the work of government entities, achieving significant national benefits in terms of efficiency and quality, which positively impacts both the performance of the entities and the citizens directly. EXPRO aims to contribute to achieving spending efficiency in government entities, enhancing the efficiency of government procurement operations, raising the quality of projects, assets, and facilities, and planning infrastructure, programs, initiatives, and operational processes. It also endeavors to develop policies, systems, and methodologies, and to build and qualify national cadres. — SG
