RIYADH — The Ministry of Culture has announced a series of cultural and historical events scheduled for February 21-26 to celebrate Saudi Founding Day, an annual event on February 22 that commemorates the establishment of the Saudi state by Imam Muhammad bin Saud in 1727. This celebration aims to honor the heroism and political foundations that have shaped the nation. The ministry's nationwide events include: - "The Foundation Nights" on February 21 and 22 at the Abu Bakr Salem Stage in Boulevard City, Riyadh, offering a journey through time with poetry and musical performances. - "Symphony of the Beginning" on February 25 and 26, also at the Abu Bakr Salem Stage, featuring renowned Saudi poets and the National Orchestra. - "The History Walk," a parade showcasing 19 scenes that narrate Saudi Arabia's history from its inception to the present. - A musical theatre and a drone show concluding the first day's celebrations. - "The Founding Village," set to take place in 14 cities and governorates from February 22 to 24, including Madinah, Hail, Tabuk, Arar, Dammam, Najran, Al-Baha, Sakaka, Al-Ahsa, Abha, Taif, Qassim, Jizan, and Jeddah.
