RIYADH —Minister of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) Eng. Abdullah Al-Sawaha discussed partnership in the fields of digital economy, innovation and entrepreneurship with the leaders of G20 digital economy in India. Eng. Al-Sawaha met with Indian Minister for Railways, Communications, Electronics & Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw, where the two sides discussed ways of deepening the cooperation between Saudi Arabia and India in the fields of digital economy and innovation. The Saudi and Indian counterparts also discussed ways to attract technological investments and attract venture capital, in a way that serves common interests and goals. Ahead of the G20 4th Meeting of Digital Economy Working Group & Digital Economy Ministers' Meeting, Eng. Al-Sawaha discussed in two separate meeting with the Japanese Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications, as well as Taro Kono, the Japanese Minister for Digital Transformation, ways of enhancing the partnership in the field of digital economy between Saudi Arabia and Japan, From his side, the Digital Government Authority (DGA)' Governor Eng. Ahmed Al-Soyyan discussed, in a separate meeting with officials from the European Commission, deepening cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the European Commission in the fields of digital economy, innovation, government's digital transformation, in addition to supporting emerging technologies and entrepreneurship.
