OMODA 5 rated 5-stars by ANCAP, highlighting its excellent safety quality

On August 1, the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) released the latest safety test results. The OMODA 5 has passed the professional and most rigorous safety evaluation and received the highest rating of five stars. This award is another testimony to the strength of the Euro NCAP five-star certification in December last year, which indicates that OMODA 5 already has the world's highest safety standards of five-star certification.
The OMODA 5 scored 87% for Adult Occupant Protection, 88% for Child Occupant Protection, 68% for Vulnerable Road User Protection, and 83% for Safety Assist.
The 5-star ANCAP safety rating is a confirmation of OMODA 5's commitment to excellence in automotive safety, ensuring the utmost protection for its customers and other road users. ANCAP, known for its rigorous and independent vehicle safety evaluations, conducted assessments to determine the safety performance of OMODA 5.
OMODA 5, the cross-style SUV has catered to the key demands of global consumers from the R&D and design stage. It has not only made great advancements in body structure, safety configuration, and other aspects but also carried out adaptive development verification in different environments and road conditions around the world.
OMODA 5 adopts a body with high-strength steel as the main structure, with steel accounting for 78%. It can withstand pressures up to 1800Mpa. Equipped with the above ultra-high-strength materials, the cage body has been designed and manufactured to maintain its overall structure without deformation in case of accidents. As for the cabin, OMODA 5 is equipped with many airbags including the driver and passenger seats, side airbag, side curtain, and middle airbag, which can provide all-round safety protection for occupants in the event of a collision.
