Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Eng. Ahmed Al-Rajhi on Friday led the Kingdom's delegation to the G20 Labor and Employment Ministers' Meeting, held in Indore, India. Besides the labor and employment ministers of the G20 member states, heads of international and regional organizations and representatives of civil society organizations from various other countries are taking part in the meeting. Al-Rajhi affirmed the Kingdom's support for the Indian presidency, which focuses on important issues, including addressing the global skills gap, liberal economy, sharing economic platforms, social protection and sustainable financing of social security, saying that these priorities have a tangible and continuous impact on labor and employment issues. Al-Rajhi also presented the Kingdom's approach to issues like skills, human resources development and comprehensive social protection for workers, saying Riyadh pays special consideration to modern work patterns. He also talked about the Kingdom's most prominent initiatives and programs, including the sectoral skills councils initiative, skills accelerator, the self-employment portal, achievements pertaining to these initiatives and the important impact they have on the Saudi labor market. — SPA
