Ahmad Abdullah Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — Muhammad Nooh, Jordanian Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, said Saudi Arabia is at the forefront of advanced nations in terms of culture and development. The Jordanian minister also lauded the great honor and responsibility that's being shouldered by the Kingdom in hosting and serving Haj and Umrah pilgrims who come from all over the world. Nooh said the Kingdom has constantly sought to improve the services it provides to pilgrims as is envisioned by the country's leadership. “(The Kingdom's) history bears witness to the efforts and accomplishments that have taken place in the two holy mosques and the holy sites. This includes the limitless support provided by the government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah for the comfort and peace of mind of Haj and Umrah pilgrims so they can perform their rites in an atmosphere of tranquility,” he said. “The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques is sending a message to the whole world that the Kingdom undertakes a great role and responsibility by facilitating these large crowds, something which makes this country distinct,” he added. In a statement issued on his visit to the Kingdom on Thursday, Nooh said he signed a memorandum of understanding with Haj Minister Bandar Muhammad Hajjar on services rendered to Jordanian pilgrims. He also met representatives of Haj affairs in Jeddah to discuss the latest preparations for Jordanian Haj and Umrah pilgrims.
