ROSHN, a PIF giga project and the Kingdom's leading national real estate developer, said it will be building WAREFA, its third major development in Saudi Arabia and the second residential community in Riyadh. Following the success of its flagship project SEDRA, this new development in eastern Riyadh's Al Janadriyyah district will be built on ROSHN's key design principles, focused on the provision of high-quality housing connected to an array of integrated amenities and public spaces that together form vibrant, livable communities. With a total footprint of 1.4 million square meters, WAREFA will be home to over 13,000 inhabitants. It will include more than 2,000 residential units. Along with a district mall, primary healthcare facility, public and private schools, and multiple mosques, the development will also contain 160,000 sq.m. of public parks and open spaces to enhance the well-being of residents and ensure that their needs can be met within a few steps from their homes. As with all ROSHN developments, sustainability is central to WAREFA's design. The provision of shaded footpaths and cycle routes, and links to public transport aim to reduce the dependence on motor vehicles. High-tech insulation, solar water heaters, and efficient air-conditioning enable energy savings while advanced plumbing fittings and irrigation technology help save water usage.
