RIYADH — Jameel Altheyabi, editor-in-chief of Okaz and supervisor general of Saudi Gazette, has won the journalistic dialogue award at the second edition of the Saudi Media Forum, which concluded in Riyadh on Tuesday. The winners of the media awards in different categories were announced in the concluding ceremony of the two-day event held in the presence of Acting Minister of Media Dr. Majed Al-Qasabi. A large number of prominent media professionals from within the Kingdom and various parts of the world participated in the forum, organized by the Saudi Journalists Association, in cooperation with the Saudi Broadcasting Authority, at the Hilton Hotel in Riyadh. Dr. Al-Qasabi honored Khalid bin Hamad Al-Malik, the winner of the Personality of the Year award. The winners of media awards in different categories are the following: Saudi publisher and writer Taghreed Al-Tassan (journalistic article); Yumna Luqman (news report); the National Guard magazine (journalistic investigation); Khaled Abdulaziz (radio dialogue); Khaled Madkhali (visual dialogue); Shahd Harmoush (scientific production -media messages); Ahmed Al-Arfaj (scientific production -books and research), and Muhammad Al-Ratyan (qualitative content). During the ceremony, the audience watched a video presentation titled "The Departed will remain" and that was a tribute to the late eminent Saudi media figures. An entertaining show by the French Twin Band was also performed on the occasion.
