RIYADH — The official spokesperson of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Samer Al-Jutaili confirmed that the total aid provided by Saudi Arabia for the earthquake-affected victims in Turkey and Syria has reached 14 relief planes. Speaking to Al-Ekhbariya, Al-Jutaili said that each of the 14 relief planes carried between 30 and 40 tons of aid. He said that this phase has focused on the urgent humanitarian intervention in food security, the shelter sector, the health sector, and medical aid. Al-Jutaili noted that the aid was distributed within several regions, and parts of it went to the Syrian side, as 44 trucks carrying a number of humanitarian needs, such as mattresses, blankets, and foodstuffs, crossed into Syria. It is worth mentioning that the total amount of the Saudi popular campaign' donations to relief the earthquake-affected people in Turkey and Syria has reached more than SR440 million.
