RIYADH — Aqeel Al-Aqeel, weather analyst at the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), has confirmed that there will be no significant drop in temperature as the winter season will come to end within five days. Speaking to Al-Ekhbariya channel on Friday, he said that the spring season this year will be more rainy especially during the month of March. It will be warmer by one degree Celsius in most regions, and one and a half degrees in the Tabuk, Al-Jouf and Hail regions. Al-Aqeel revealed that the lowest temperature recorded in Saudi Arabia on Friday was 6 degrees Celsius, which was witnessed in Turaif. In a recent report, NCM stated that most regions of Saudi Arabia are expected to receive higher-than-average rain during the month of March and there would be a slight increase in the temperature in the spring season. The quarterly report, issued by NCM, forecasts the prevailing and expected weather conditions in the Kingdom during the spring season of this year, including precipitation and surface temperatures. The center expected higher-than-average spring rains in most regions of the Kingdom.
