Published in The Saudi Gazette on 25 - 04 - 2013

LONDON — Three-time World Travel Awards winner DUKES LONDON is celebrating its recent refurbishment with an invitation to the region's ladies to take a “luxury road test” in the heart of the city's fashionable St James' district with a stay in a newly renovated suite.
Home to 90 rooms, including 11 high-end suites and the hotel's exclusive 700-square foot Penthouse overlooking Green Park, guests heading to the UK capital this May will be able to enjoy the striking mix of classic and contemporary design elements from leading UK interior designer Shaun Clarkson.
A member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, the new-look suites have been refurbished in soothing pastel tones complemented by striking yet comfortable furnishings that add an element of eclectic individuality to each room.
“Arabian Travel Market is the perfect platform at which to introduce our restyled suites to an international audience, and we are specifically targeting female leisure and business travelers from the Gulf region as we look to build on the success of our existing women-only floor concept, which was launched last year,” said Debrah Dhugga, general manager, DUKES LONDON.
The dedicated women-only rooms attracts ladies in search of discreet service and a culturally acceptable location during their sojourn in the city, offering specially designed feminine touches, including a personalized welcome card from the female general manager and a female room attendant to handle all guest relations, room service and housekeeping requirements.
Suite guests have access to a full range of luxurious facilities and amenities including a marble bathroom, large writing desk, two flat screen televisions, Nespresso coffee machines, complimentary Wifi, Playstation and X Box games machines, plus complimentary handmade chocolates, a fresh fruit basket and Ren bathroom amenities.
“The jewel in our crown is the Penthouse, with its panoramic fifth-floor views out over Green Park and exclusive display of Thomas Goode & Co. limited edition porcelain-ware collections from the likes of Paul Smith, Vivienne Westwood and star of the art world, Tracey Emin,” added Dhugga
Named European Boutique Hotel of the Year and the World's Leading Classic Hotel at the 2012 World Travel Awards, the five AA Red Star hotel also features a 24-hour gym, traditional hammam and menu of spa therapies, as well as signature dining venue Thirty Six by Nigel Mendham, which serves classic British dishes with a modern twist, and the popular Perrier-Jouët Champagne Lounge.
Guests can experience the new accommodation collection with the Spring into a Suite offer. Valid until the end of May 2013, prices start from $636 per night for a Junior Suite, $908 for a Deluxe Suite, and $1,366 for the Penthouse; including value added tax (VAT). — SG
