A delegation from representatives of government institutions, headed by Saudi Export Development Authority (Saudi Exports) is visiting Egypt to discuss several issues related to stimulating access of Saudi products to Egypt with representatives of several relevant Egyptian institutions. This step is part of efforts of the Saudi Exports to improve the efficiency of the export environment and to open new export opportunities for national goods and services in Africa's promising markets, particularly the Egyptian market, which has embraced national exports for decades. The visit confirms the interest of the Saudi Exports in achieving its objectives in a number of priority countries in accordance with the Kingdom's economic plans. Saudi Exports CEO Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Thukair noted that the Egyptian market is an attractive environment for Saudi Arabia's exports, with Saudi exports to Egypt in the first half of 2022 amounting to SR6.27 billion, including petrochemicals worth SR4.24 billion, construction materials with SR0.61 billion, and packaging with SR0.46 billion, and vehicles and spare parts SR0.30 billion, among others. He added that the role of the authority in the development of non-oil exports lies in exploring possible ways to improve the efficiency of the export environment of national companies to support the national economy and diversify its sources. On the sidelines of the visit, the Saudi Exports is scheduled to sign a cooperation agreement with one of the most important digital platforms in the African market aimed at promoting exporters' products and linking them to importers and export service providers from around the world. The agreement is part of efforts to enhance the presence of national exports in promising markets by providing quality solutions that allow the authority's specialists to continuously monitor the performance of Saudi exporters through which performance can be improved. This is in addition to its role as part of the visit's program with a series of cooperation agreements between the "Saudi Sary Group" and among a number of national and international companies and institutions operating in the consumer goods, banking and FinTech sectors to expand exports of national services to the Egyptian market. — SPA
