DOHA — The Saudi national team continued their training session at the Celine Resort Stadium in preparation for the second round of the group stage match of the FIFA World Cup 2022 on Saturday, Nov. 26. The Saudi squad will take on Poland at 4.00 pm at the Education City Stadium in Al-Rayyan in Qatar. The team will conclude its preparations with a training session at 3:00 pm on Friday and it will be open to the media in the first quarter of an hour. Coach Hervé Renard will hold a press conference at 7:30 pm at the Qatar International Conference Center (QNCC), to brief about the match against the Polish national team. After sealing a stunning victory against Argentina in the first round of their game on Tuesday, the Saudi team members are in high spirit and are seeking their second consecutive victory against Poland. The Green Falcons then take on Mexico next Wednesday, Nov. 30, in the last match of the group. Thursday's training session witnessed the presence of some of the families and friends of the players. They watched the training session, greeted the players, and had dinner with their kin at the Green Camp headquarters in the Celine Beach Resort. The players held their training session at the Celine Resort Stadium under the supervision of Coach Renard. The training began with warm-up exercise, then the possession exercise, after which two-group division was conducted on the entire field, and the session concluded with stretching exercises. Midfielder Riyad Sharahili, who had suffered a muscle injury, continued his special training at the camp, during which he was accompanied by the medical staff. On the other hand, Salman Al-Faraj, captain of the Saudi squad, continued his treatment program after suffering from shin bone injury during the match against Argentina.
